MASBATE City native Jeo Santisima will try to keep his streak going when he battles a Japanese prospect in Aichi, Japan on March 29.
Santisima, the reigning World Boxing Council (WBC) Asian Continental super featherweight champion, will take on Ei Go in an eight-round super featherweight duel.
The Santisima-Go showdown will serve as the co-main event of the card put up by Kameda Promotions. The main event will have Angel Ayala Lardizabal (18-0, 8 KOs) defending his International Boxing Federation (IBF) world flyweight title against Japanese challenger Masamichi Yabuki (17-4, 16 KOs).
Riding the crest of a three-fight winning streak, Santisima has won his last four fights in Japan.
The 28-year-old fighter has shown his ability to win in the โLand of the Rising Sunโ where he triumphed in his last three fights
Santisima last fought in Japan on December 15 last year, pulling off a third-round technical knockout (TKO) win over Hiro Ichimichi.
The former world title challenger has 25 wins, 21 by knockout, with only seven defeats.
Go, on the other hand, is off to a solid start as a young professional boxer. He has fought just four times, winning all of them, including two KO victories.
Santisima will be the second Filipino fighter that Go will be facing as the Japanese boxer previously defeated Roldan Aldea via unanimous decision.(CCM)
