CATHERINE, the Princess of Wales, has confirmed that her cancer is in remission, 10 months after she announced her diagnosis to the public.

The 43-year-old royalty in an X post said it’s a relief to be now in remission, committing herself focused on her recovery.

“As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal," Princess Kate said after she visited the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, the facility where she received her treatment.

During her visit, she talked to medical personnel and patients who were receiving treatments at that time. The unannounced visit was Kate’s first solo engagement after she stepped back from public responsibilities due to her condition.

According to PA Media, Kate had the time to talk to dozens of patients at the hospital, noting that chemotherapy is “really tough. It’s such a shock”.

Kensington Palace said the Princess of Wales really wanted to return to the hospital to show her gratitude to the team of medical personnel and “highlight the world-leading care and treatment Marsden provides.”

Kate also thanked Royal Marsden for looking after her during her time of treatment in the past year.

“I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support,” she said.

“My heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything. We couldn’t have asked for more,” she added. “The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been exceptional.”
