A HIGHLY anticipated boxing event has been pushed back due to unfavorable weather conditions.

The PMI Bohol Boxiong Promotions announced that the “Kumong Bol-anon 23” will not push through on Nov. 14 and will be held instead on Nov. 22.

The card will still be held at the Bohol Cultural Center in Tagbilaran City.

The cancellation was made as a precautionary measure after the country was battered by Typhoon Uwan.

“We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation, as the safety of all participants and staff remains our top priority," PMI Bohol Boxing Promotions said in a statement.

The 23rd installment of the highly successful boxing series spearheaded by lawyer-sportsman Floriezyl Podot will be headlined by Regie “Filipino Phenom” Suganob.

Suganob will be taking on WBO Global flyweight champion Mchanja Yohana of Tanzania in a 10-round non-title bout.

Holding a 16W-1L, 16KOs record, Suganob is seeing action for the first time in 2025 and is expected to meet tough resistance from Yohana, who has 22 wins, 15 by knockout, with only six losses and a draw.

The card will also pit Leonard Pores III against Kiyoto Narukami for the IBF Youth flyweight title and Freshler Utrera versus Sherwin Dacullo for the Philippine Youth minimumweight title.

Also set to clash are Gerwin Asilo and Yeroge Gura, Virgel Vitor and Alven Vergara, and Jericho Acaylar and Frances Arante.

Tickets for the stacked card are priced at P500 for ringside and P200 for general admission.(CCM)
