P54-million shabu seized in Naga

EIGHT kilos of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P54 million was seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tuyan, City of Naga, Cebu on Tuesday night, Jan. 13.
Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visatas (PDEA-7) cornered the target of the operation identified as a certain Clifford, 46.
PDEA-7 regional director Joel Plaza said also arrested in the operation were Maricel, 39, of Tuyan, Naga, Joseph, 52, of Mandaue City, and Barbara, 29, of Umapad, Mandaue.
The PDEA-7 said Clifford was involved in selling illegal drugs not just in Central Visayas but also in Negros Oriental.
The suspect was allegedly capable of disposing of five kilos of shabu a week, the PDEA-7 added.(CDB)
