THE Makati Football Club (MFC)-Cebu collared its second championship in the 24th Aboitiz Football Cup after it nosed out host squad Don Bosco Football Club-C, 1-0, in their title match of the Players 8 Division over the weekend at the sa Don Bosco Technical College (DBTC) football field.

Winning the Players 8 Division title came two weeks after MFC also won the crown of the Players 6 competition

Zayne Ernest Acuna starred in MFC-Cebu’s win, finding the back of the net in the 12th minute that turned out to be the winning goal as neither scored again from that point on.

It was also through Acuna that MFC-Cebu made it to the Players 8 finale as he delivered the winning goal in their semifinal match against Sugbo Calidad FC, 1-0.

Real Galaxy FC wound up third in the Players' 8 division by beating Sugbo Calidad FC, 2-1, with Benje Triton Japson scoring in the 12th and 18th.

In the Players 12 Division, Don Bosco pulled off a resounding 18-0 win over Lapu-lapu City FC, 18-0, Cebu United FC dumped MFC Cebu, 11-0, Giuseppe FC blanked Don Bosco FC-A, 5-0, while Real Galaxy nipped Lo-oc FC, 5-0.(MyTVCebu)
