GILAS Pilipinas is now in South Korea to play two tune-up games as part of its title-retention campaign in the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.

Gilas will be playing two friendlies against the South Korean national team in the Hana Bank Invitational at the Suwon KT Sonicboom Arena. The first game will be on Friday, Sept. 4, while the second meeting is scheduled on Sunday, Sept. 6.

Gilas’ back-to-back championship bid will start against Bahrain on September 11. The team’s second game will be against Kazakhstan on September 12. The Nationals will then play against China on September 14 for its final game in the elimination round.

Leading Gilas’ campaign are Robert Bolick and Adrian Nocum along with Justin Arana, Justine Baltazar and RJ Abarrientos.

Sedrick Barefield is also part of the team together with Don Trollano, Jerrick Ahanmisi, Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser, Brandon Bates, and Zavier Lucero.

Only 11 players have been named to the 12-man roster so far as Gilas has reserved one spot for naturalized Filipino player Justin Brownlee.(CCM)
