Coast Guard member caught in drug den

A MEMBER of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) was arrested in a drug den that was raided by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas (PDEA-7) in Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City.

The PDEA-7 said Neil, a PCG Apprentice Seaman from Barili, Cebu, were among the three men caught visiting the drug den when the raid was launched past noon on Wednesday, April 22.

Also caught allegedly sniffing shabu were Alfredo, 51, of Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City, and Dan, 27-year-old assistant manager of Business Process Outsourcing company.

PDEA-7 Regional Director Joel Plaza identified the alleged maintainer of the den as Jurnie, 56, who was also arrested along with his brother Erwin, 50.

Together with operatives of the Mambaling Police Station, PDEA-7 agents seized eight packs of suspected shabu worth P102,000.(CDB)
