Chinese pug vows to KO Cebuano foe in ‘Bunukbukay sa Sugbo’
THE upcoming “Binukbukay sa Sugbo” boxing card promises to be a slambang affair as a Chinese proganist vowed to go for a knockout win against his opponent from Cebu.
Yeerjialahasi Laayibieke warned that Rodex “The Tank” Piala will be in for a short night when they clash in one of the card’s featured fights scheduled on Febuary 8 at the posh Nustar Resort and Casino.
“Hey Piala, are you ready for February 8? I will knock you out in four rounds,” Laayibieke said in a Facebook post.
Sporting a 10W-2L, 7KOs record, Laayibieke will be staking his World Boxing Orgzanization (WBO) Oriental super featherweight title.
Laayiebke won his current belt at the expense of the unseated defending champion Virgel Vitor, who lost in front of his hometown fans in Bohol last July.
Piala of ARQ Boxing Stable is determined to get back that belt and avenge Vitor’s sorry defeat.
The 29-year-old Pila has 10 wins, one loss and one knockout win.
Promoted by OX KBDF Gaming led by its top honcho Winley Dela Fuente, the card is a triple championship spectacle as two other WBO regional titles are at stake.
Genesis Servania will battle China’s Aketlieti Yelejian for the vacant WBO Oriental lightweight title while Jong Seon Kang of South Korea will defend his WBO Global featherweight belt against Japan’s Ryuto Owan.(CCM)
