ACTION-packed fights are in store when the Cebu-based ARQ Boxing Promotions brings the 15th installment of its “Engkwentro” boxing series to Cawayan, Masbate on March 8.

Backed by the local government of Cawayan led by Mayor Edgar Condor, the boxing extravaganza will feature 10 professional fights.

The main event will be headlined by ARQ Boxing Stable’s Rodel “The Hulk” Wenceslao, who will go up against Atchariya Wirojanasunobol of Thailand for the World Boxing Foundation international welterweight title.

The 31-year-old, Kananga, Leyte native Wenceslao is on a hot streak, winning his last eight fights that hiked his record to 22W-19L-2D, 11KOs.

The 35-year-old Wirojanasunobol is no pushover as he has 15 wins, seven by knockout. The Thailander has five losses.

The card will also feature double Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) youth championships.

Speedy Acope will fight Peter Estellier for the PBF Youth 130-pound division title while ARQ’s Angelus Pilapil will face John Rey Labajo also for eight rounds for the PBF 112-pound belt.

The card will also pit Berland Robles against Anferne Palarca; April Jay Abne versus Anthony Gilbuela; Emje Feliceldas vs. Kier Torregoza; Mark Gil Gandi vs. Justin Carl Apat; Joney Mar Loreño vs. Jhonrey Vios; Jubert Kahimat vs. Jhunrix Villaroz; and Dave Bacang vs. Rebin Crish Paclawon.(CCM)
