VIRGEL Vitor and Gerwin Asilo will co-headline the “Kumong Bol-anon XX” boxing card slated March 9 in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
Vitor will try to get back on the winning track when he takes on Rey Ramos in the card promoted by the PMI Bohol Boxing Promotions.
Vitor is coming off a heart-breaking loss, absorbing a fifth-round technical knockout loss to Chinese Yeerjialahasi Laayibieke last July 27.
The defeat enabled Laayibieke to steal Vitor’s World Boxing Organization (WBO) Oriental super featherweight title.
Laayibieke has since lost the belt after he bowed to Rodex Piala in the “Binukbukay sa Sugbo” fight card last Saturday, February 8, at Nustar Resort and Casino in Cebu City.
A native of Tagbilaran, Vitor has 22 wins and four losses with 15 of his wins coming by way of knockout.
Ramos, a native of Cainta, Rizal, holds a 8W-16L-3D, 3KOs record.
Asilo, a native of Ubay, Bohol, will go up against Jenny Boy Boca of Bukidnon.
Asilo has nine wins with only one defeat. Four of his wins were via knockout. Boca has 14 wins and 17 losses with 12 knockout victories.(CCM)
