IN A BOLD move to enhance employee well-being, Bangkok-based marketing agency Whiteline Group has announced an unconventional benefit: paid "Tinder leave."
The initiative allows employees to take time off to pursue dating opportunities, mirroring the structure of traditional annual or sick leave.
This unique policy is said to take effect from July to December 2024.
Whiteline, which employs around 200 people, shared the news on LinkedIn. The agency aims to promote work-life balance and mental health among its workforce, recognizing the importance of personal relationships in overall happiness.
As part of the initiative, Whiteline also offers employees six months of paid Tinder Platinum and Gold subscriptions, enhancing their dating experience with premium features.
To utilize Tinder leave, employees must provide a week’s notice and must have completed their probation period.
This benefit is exclusive to those hired between July 9 and December 31, 2024.
The announcement was made during a company event, where leaders highlighted their commitment to innovative workplace policies.
The introduction of Tinder leave has sparked discussions about the future of employee benefits, encouraging other companies to think outside the box.(CMM)
