RUNNING their offense like a well-oiled machine, the TNT Tropang Giga had less trouble dismantling the Titan Ultra Gian Risers, 130-92, on Friday night, Oct. 24, in the 50th PBA Philippine Cup at the Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo City.
The 38-point rout shoved the Tropa to the solo top in the team standings with three wins and one loss.
The Tropa had six players scoring in double figures and
five others scored at least eight points in a searing offensive attack that sent the Giant Risers to their third straight loss.
Henry Galinato led the way for the Tropa with 16 points while Mike Nieto put in 15 markers. Calvin Oftana scored 14 markers, Tyrus Hill contributed 12, Glenn Khobuntin had 11, and RR Pogoy chipped in10. Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser, Kim Aurin, Rey Nambatac, Jordan Heading, and Kelly Williams each scored at least eight points in the lopsided victory.
Joshua Munzon finished with 20 points, Fran Yu tallied 16 while Calvin Abueva returned from a two-game absence to add 15 markers but Titan lost anew after starting the tournament with a shock 100-96 win over the Meralco Bolts.
