ACTION shifts to a higher gear as the semifinalists in the Architects and Engineers Basketball Club (AEBC) Buildrite Cup 2024 have already been completed.

The Final Four cast includes Confix, Blockout, Smartbond, and Tofil. The semifinals will be played on February 8 at the aforementioned venue.

The semis pairing will have Smartbond battling Blockout and Confix tangling with Tofil.

In the quarterfinal round over the weekend, Blockout nipped Sinclair, 90-83, with Peje Codeniera collecting 17 points, three assists, and a steal.

John Cubar backed Codeniera with 14 points while Francis Cabyao chipped in 12.

Michael Cinco topped Sinclair with a game-high 31 points and 10 rebounds. Adrian Damole dropped 17 points while Miguel Cenabre and Dexsel Caadan each had 16 apiece.

Smartbond thwarted Stopgap, 94-87, with Ivan Deo leading the way with 21 points, three rebounds, two assists, and a steal.

Jet Latonio contributed 18 points, eight rebounds, one steal, one assist, and a block for Smartbond.

Stopgap was led by Andrew Ocena, who came away with 16 points with Rex Cagulada and Nino Araw-Araw tossing in 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Tofil, on the other hand, edged out Natica, 67-64, behind the 17-point output of Randy Lomera.

Paolo Perez finished with 24 points and 12 rebounds in a losing cause.

Confix sealed its own semis seat by drubbing Handyfix, 62-50.

Noriko Benedicto topped Confix with 17 points, two assists, one rebound, and a steal, while Randy Lomera and Dexy Suico pitched in 14 and 12 points, respectively.

Handyfix was spearheaded by Kyle Ordeniza, who raked in 10 points and 10 rebounds.(CCM)
