CLEVELAND pulled Milwaukee down back to earth as the Cavaliers trampled the newly minted NBA Cup champions Bucks, 124-101, on Saturday (Philippine time), December 21.
Donovan Mitchell tallied 27 points, Darius Garland had 16 markers, helping the Cavaliers improve to 3-0 against the Bucks this season.
Cleveland continues to have the best record in the season, hiking its record to 24-4. The Cavaliers also improved to an impressive 15-1 at home.
Evan Mobley added 15 points for Cleveland, which made 20 three-pointers to dominate the contest.
Giannis Antetokounmpo collected 33 points and 14 rebounds for the Bucks, who dropped to 14-12 in the season.
Milwaukee played without Damian Lillard, who was sidelined with a strained calf. He is averaging 25.7 points a game.
In the day’s other matches, the Oklahoma Thunder (22-5) won their first match since losing to Milwaukee in the NBA Cup finale by dumping the Miami Heat (13-12), 104-97, while the Philadelphia 76ers (9-16) tripped the Charlotte Hornets (7-21), 108-98.(CCM)
