LOW registration rates, big cash and exciting raffle prizes. Running enthusiasts can look forward to these perks when they sign up for the Treasure Island Industrial Corp. (TIIC) Anniversary Fun Run 2026.

The footrace will be held on Feb. 22 at the Cebu Business Park with distances of 21-kilometer, 12K, 7.5K, and 3K distances.

Led by Douglas Ong, Executive Vice President of TIIC, the cash-rich event was launched on Tuesday, Jan. 13, at the Island Premium Paints Showroom Cafe on A.S. Fortuna Street in Mandaue City.

“This is the first time that Treasure Island is organizing this. Our rates are low because this is our first time. We are doing this not to raise funds but to share with the community,” said Ong.

The footrace will serve as the highlight of the TIIC’s 75th anniversary.

“As Treasure Island marks its 75th anniversary, we also honor a much deeper legacy, resilience, and culture that shaped what Treasure Island it is today,” said Ong.

Ong explained that TIIC chose to stage a fun run to highlight its 75th anniversary as part of its advocacy to promote health and wellness.

“One of the benefits, as we improve the business, is health. The board’s direction to the company is to invest in health. That direction was given to the organizing committe,” said Ong.

The event is also one way of acknowledging the community’s role in TIIC’s success.

“We are what we are today because of the community,” Ong said.

As its way of giving back to the community, TIIC has been active in conducting livelihood programs for unemployed women or mothers in Mandaue City.

Proceeds of the race will be used for its livelihood projects in Barangays Cabancalan, Canduman, Bakilid, and Tingub.

Registration fees are as follows: P1,400 for the 21K, P1,000 for the 12K, P800 for the 7.5K, and P600 for the 3K.

All participants will receive medals while the finisher shirts will be given to 21L and 12K finishers.

Champions in the male and female categories of the 21K race will get P15,000 each while the P10,000 and P8,000 will be given to the first and second runners-up, respectively.

In the 12K race, champions will receive P10,000 apiece while the first and second runners-up will pocket P8,000 and P5,000, respectively.

The Top 3 finishers in both the male and female categories of the 7.5K race will each bring home P5,000, P4,000, and P3,000, respectively.

Non-placers will not go home empty-handed as they will have a chance to win a Honda Beat motorcycle as well other exciting prizes such as laptops, cellphones, wristwatches, and gift certificates.

Julius Ceballos and Gideon Ostrea, members of Treasure Island’s organizing committee, added that 20 runners will also have a chance to win P1,000 each during the raffle draw.

To ensure the success of the race, TIIC partnered with Megatech of Exl Canque and veteran race organizer Joel Baring of Safe and Fitness Enthusiasts (Safe).

Ceballos said they are limiting the number of participants to 5,000 to ensure a smooth conduct of the race.

Registration will run until Jan. 22. Those who wish to register may visit the Facebook pages of Island Premium Paints or IPAK PH.(CCM)
