DOCTORS have announced that Pope Francis is no longer in imminent danger from double pneumonia, as his condition continues to show steady improvement.

According to medical professionals overseeing his care, the 88-year-old pontiff remains in stable condition, with signs of progress in recent days.

In light of this, the Vatican has revised its previously “guarded” prognosis, confirming that Francis is no longer in critical condition.

Despite this improvement, there is currently no set timeline for the pope’s discharge.

Francis continues to receive oxygen therapy, using oxygen support during the day and a ventilation mask at night.

While undergoing treatment at Gemelli Hospital, Pope Francis has remained engaged with global affairs.

The Vatican reported that he has been informed of the recent devastating floods in Argentina and has expressed his solidarity with those affected.

Last Thursday, the pope also shared a pre-recorded audio message, expressing gratitude to the faithful for their prayers and support during his illness.(MyTVCebu)
