FOUR persons were arrested when anti-narcotics agents raided a suspected drug den in Barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City on Monday, Jan. 5.

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas (PDEA-7) also seized six grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P40,800.

Among those arrested was a certain Rimon, 29, who was the subject of the raid as the alleged maintainer of the drug den.

Also arrested were Mykent, a 38-year-old taxi driver, Joselito, 34, and Jose, 27, who were caught inside the drug den when PDEA-7 agents swooped in around 5:30 p.m.

Leia Alcantara, information officer of PDEA-7, said Mykent was previously arrested also for illegal drug charges but was released from jail on probation.

Alcantara added that Rimon was finally cornered after a one-week case buildup.

The suspect was allegedly capable of selling 10-15 grams of shabu a week. Appropriate charges will be filed against the arrested persons, Alcantara said.(CDB)
