‘Fist of Fury 10’ fight card complete

THE upcoming “Fist of Fury 10 - The Eliminator” boxing extravaganza will feature three title fights and will be spiced up by six undercards.

Sportsman Lorenzo “Chao” Sy, the top honcho of the Chao Sy International Promotions, announced that all is set for the keenly awaited card slated May 9 at the Cebu Coliseum.

“We have already finalized all the fights. There will be a total of nine fights with three title fights. We are also happy to note that tickets are selling good,” Sy said.

The card will be headlined by Cebuano Ian Paul Abne of the ARQ Boxing Stable and China’s Dianxing Zhu.

The main event is for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) minimumweight world title eliminator, which means the winner will take a shot at world champion Pedro Taduran.

The main undercard will pit Jimuel Aranas of the Chao Sy Boxing Stable and Jeric Noynay of the Martinez Boxing Stable.

Aranas and Noynay will fight for the World Boxing Federation Silver flyweight title.

Another title fight will have the comebacking John Paul Gabunilas going up against Ramil Roda Jr. for the Philippine Boxing Federation super flyweight title.

Gabunilas is the newest recruit of the Chao Sy Boxing Stable and will be ending a two-year hiatus.

The card will also have Jubert Cahimat versus Mark Sabang; Jony Mar Loreño against Kei Mark Akut; Carl Penedo vs. Marlon Alejandro, Justin Trazo against Conrad Jason Agujar, Aqoian Li vs. Jerson Baclohan; and Venance Dances against Norman Russiana.

“I am inviting all boxing fans to watch. Tickets are very affordable and can be bought at various branches of La Fortuna bakery,” Chao said.

Ticket prices are pegged at P100 for general admission, P300 for upper box, P500 for lower box, and P1,000 for ringside.(CCM)
