THE world’s oldest man, born in the same year the Titanic sank, has recently celebrated his 112th birthday.
John Alfred Tinniswood, born on August 26, 1912, celebrated the occasion at his care home in Southport, England, with his family and friends, according to a social media post by Guinness World Record (GWR).
What was his secret to living this long? Tinniswood shared that he didn’t have any special secrets to it.
“I can’t think of any special secrets I have. I was quite active as a youngster; I did a lot of walking. But to me, I’m no different [to anyone]. No different at all,” Tinniswood said.
It was only in April this year when he was declared as the oldest man alive by GWR.
He is also the world’s oldest surviving male World War II veteran.(CMM)
