White Team tops Red Team in AEBA PKL All-Star Game

WHITE Team emerged victorious in the duel of the league’s brightest stars as it nipped White Red Team, 128-117, in the Architect+Engineers 9th Coporate Cup Philip Khan Lim Tribute (PKL) All-Star Weekeend 2026 on Saturday night, July 18, at the University of San Carlos Main Campus Gym in Cebu City.

John Therese Buhawe and Paolo Muñez led the way for White Team with 19 points each while Dexter Olores Estilloro and Andrew Egot chipped in 18 and 17 markers, respectively.

Also scoring in double figures for the winning team were John Charles Tangapa and Philip Alegado, who threw in 12 and 11 markers, respectively.

Jemcerson Sable erupted for a game-high 24 points to lead Red Team in the weekend affair presented by Newport World Resorts and backed by DuraBend, Coach A Home Gym Series, and Durawall.

Darwin Gabaca and Dave Abella backed Sable with 18 points each. Dafydd June Talledo pitched in 17 points, while Noriko Benedicto and Ivan Deo contributed 11 and 10 points, respectively.

The other match featured the A+E All-Star 40-above against the Media All-Star with the former scoring a 113-106 victory.

John Charles fired 36 points while Arnell Cordero scattered 34 points in the win. Dexter Estilloro contributed 24 points for A+E.

Julius Vidal sank 12 three-pointers to lead the media selection from the Newsmen Basketball Association of Cebu with 45 points. Gabriel Bonjoc, who dropped eight triples, chipped in 37 points while Philip Patricio with 19 markers.(CCM)
