DONALD Trump is projected to reclaim the White House, securing wins in key swing states, including Pennsylvania, Georgia, and North Carolina, as he seeks to end four years of Democratic leadership.

Different news outlets have declared Trump the winner Wednesday (Philippine Time) at his Mar-a-Lago election watch party in Florida, though some networks have not yet confirmed the overall results.

In his speech, Trump called the victory "the greatest political movement of all time" and "a magnificent victory for the American people," vowing that it would usher in a "golden age" for the country.

Supporters at the watch party responded with chants of "USA, USA" as he pledged that the Republican Party would “heal” the country, strengthen borders, and advance conservative priorities.

“America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate,” Trump added, highlighting the Republican Party’s regained control of the U.S. Senate after four years.

As Trump’s projected win gained traction, world leaders began responding. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban congratulated Trump, announcing, “It’s in the bag.”

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy also weighed in, stating, “America has spoken. Congratulations to the 47th President.”

Trump said that he led the popular vote by 1.2 percent, although official results are still being tallied.

Throughout his campaign, Trump emphasized issues such as immigration reform, economic tariffs, and election security, promising large-scale deportations and renewed tariffs on imported goods.

In Pennsylvania, a critical battleground, Trump’s multiple visits culminated in a strong base turnout, helping to swing the state in his favor.

Trump raised allegations of "massive cheating" in Philadelphia, a claim promptly refuted by local authorities.

His campaign’s final push included rallies in cities like Reading and Pittsburgh, where his rural and conservative

voter base remains solid.

As of 4 p.m., with 267 electoral votes to Harris’s 214, Trump’s projected victory could have global implications.

Trump has suggested cutting U.S. support for Ukraine in its ongoing conflict with Russia, a position that has raised concerns among American allies fearing a revival of his nationalist policies.

If confirmed, Trump’s projected win would make him only the second president in U.S. history to serve nonconsecutive terms, following Grover Cleveland.(MyTVCebu)
