THE TNT Tropang Giga bucked tremendous pressure, displaying their championship pedigree to thwart the Barangay Ginebra Kings, 87-83, in Game 6 of the 49th PBA Commissioner’s Cup Best-of-Seven Finals on Wednesday night, March 26, at the Araneta Coliseum.

TNT, thus, sent the hard-fought series to a Game 7, which will be played on Friday, March 29, at the same venue.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Rey Nambatac, and Poy Erram struck hard for TNT, coming up with the needed production to help their squad snap a two-game slide.

The two squads alternated wins in the first four games of the series. Ginebra went ahead, 3-2, after winning Game 5, making them the first team in the series to win back-to-back.

Hollis-Jefferson tallied 29 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists, helping the Tropa seal the Game 6 win with two clutch free throws in the dying seconds.

Nambatac collected 23 points while Erram ahd 14 markers, 10 coming in the pivotal fourth quarter.

The victory kept alive TNT’s bid of beating Ginebra for the third time in their last three championship meetings.

Ginebra has a better franchise-record in Game 7s in PBA Finals as it is 3-1 in the championship series that reached the distance.
