THE son of the Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit has been arrested on accusation that she raped a woman who has no relationship with him.
Marius Borg Høiby has once again embroiled himself in a scandal after he was arrested on Monday night after he was accused of doing a “sexual act without intercourse” to a woman who was in her 20s.
According to Norwegian police, the victim may “have been unable to resist the act” of Høiby when they met on the day of the alleged incident, a CNN report said.
Police did not reveal when the alleged rape incident happened.
The victim’s lawyer, Hege Salomon, said the woman and Høiby have no relationship and that she is having a hard time after the incident.
Høiby, through his lawyer Øyvind Bratlien, denied the accusations.

NRK reported that he has been previously charged with various offenses like damage to property, domestic abuse, and against four women and a man.
He was also arrested in August after a violent incident occurred at a flat in Frogner in the West end of Oslo.
Høiby also pleaded guilty to charges of death threats against a man.
Høiby was four years old when his mother married Prince Haakon in 2001. He has two half-siblings, Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus who are both children of Crown Princess Mette-Marit and Prince Haakon.(LAO)
