P-POP groups SB19 and BINI will receive the ‘Voices of Asia Award’ at the inaugural Billboard K Power 100 event in Seoul.

Billboard Philippines announced this on Friday, shortly after SB19's fans, known as A’TIN, won the 2024 Billboard Fan Army Face-Off.

The Billboard K Power 100, set later this month at Yeong Bin Gwan Hall in THE SHILLA Seoul, will highlight the impact of Korean music and K-pop on the global music scene.

This event will celebrate influential figures from Korean and Asian music and their contributions to the international stage.

SB19 and BINI will perform at the event, with SB19 set to deliver their hit single "GENTO" and BINI slated to perform their chart-topping track "Cherry On Top."

SB19, recognized as the "Kings of P-pop," have become pioneers in the Filipino music industry since their 2018 debut. They earned a Top Social Artist nomination at the Billboard Music Awards in 2021, making history as the first Southeast Asian and Filipino act to do so. Their track "GENTO" also debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard World Digital Sales Charts.

BINI, known as the "Nation's Girl Group," gained fame with their viral hit "Pantropiko" and continued success with songs like "Karera" and "Salamin, Salamin." They were honored as Rising Stars at the Billboard Philippines Women In Music event in March 2023.

The Billboard K Power 100 will also feature the '2024 Billboard K-POP Artist 100,' a bilingual biographical dictionary of K-music stars.

The event will host global Billboard leaders, including President Mike Van and Editorial Director Hannah Karp, along with prominent K-pop artists and international guests like Brazilian pop star Luísa Sonza.(MyTVCebu)
