ACTOR Sandro Muhlach has taken legal action against several netizens by filing cyber libel complaints with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Cybercrime Division.

These complaints involve over 100 social media posts allegedly containing defamatory statements about the abuse Muhlach reportedly suffered at the hands of two independent contractors linked to GMA Network.

The NBI is collaborating with social media platforms to preserve these posts, some of which were made by anonymous accounts while others were posted by identifiable users.

The agency plans to subpoena those involved, allowing them to explain their actions.

Sandro’s grandfather, Alexander Muhlach, has expressed that the actor has been facing severe mental and physical health issues, including anxiety, insomnia, and loss of appetite, due to the online harassment and bullying.

"We kindly ask everyone to respect Sandro's privacy during this difficult time. The online harassment and bullying he has been subjected to are only worsening his condition," the grandfather said.

He urged the public to respect Sandro’s privacy during this difficult period, emphasizing that the harassment is worsening his condition.

Alexander also highlighted that Sandro needs compassion

and support as he continues his journey toward recovery.

Sandro, the son of former child star Niño Muhlach, previously disclosed that he had been sexually assaulted by two contractors associated with GMA Network, who are now facing charges.(MyTVCebu)
