A NEW champion emerged as Central Visayas (Region 7) was unseated by SOCCSKSARGEN (Region 12) in the recently concluded Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) National Games 2025 in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan Province.

SOCCSKSARGEN, composed of South Cotabato, Saranggani, Sultan Kudarat, and General Santos City, ended the week-long competition with 128 golds, 104 silvers, and 55 bronzes.

Central Visayas dropped to second place with a haul of 115 golds, 62 silvers, and 99 bronzes.

CALABARZON (Region 4-A) ranked third with a 74-56-55 gold-silver-bronze tally followed by the Cordillera Autonomous Region (CAR) and Western Visayas (Region 6) at fourth and fifth with a 46-42-41 and 39-84-84 medal haul, respectively.

Completing the Top 10 were Negros Island Region (20-27-56), Davao Region (17-16-17), Bicol Region (15-21-71), Ilocos Region (14-16-26), and Cagayan Valley (10-19-29).

In the Youth category, Central Visayas finished fourth with a 68-24-30 medal count behind champion Western Visayas (99-71-73), CALABARZON (94-55-51), and Bicol Region (80-97-85).(CCM)
