A FIRE swept through a residential area in Barangay Quiot, Cebu City, early on Tuesday, October 29, leaving several homes destroyed and families displaced.
The blaze caused over P600,000 in property damage. No injuries or fatalities were reported in the incident.
The incident affected 11 families, composed of 45 individuals.
According to the Cebu City Fire Station, the fire started at 9:58 a.m. in the home of Rena Solomon, who also occupied the property.
The Bureau of Fire Protection and the Bureau of Fire Brigades deployed a total of 16 fire trucks to contain the blaze. Upon arrival, firefighters immediately raised the alarm level due to the fireโs rapid spread across the area.
The fire was declared under control at 10:38 a.m. and was completely put out at 10:44 a.m.
The fire affected 12 structures in the area, destroying eight and partially damaging four others.(MyTVCebu)
