CEBU’S Zackary Angelo Da Silva once again flashed his immense potential after he pocketed his third straight title in the 13-15 age-group aquathlon of the IronKids Lapu-Lapu 2026 on Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Dusit Thani Mactan Resort.

The 15-year-old Da Silva marked his last IronKids competition with a dominant performance, completing a Grand Slam by finishing the 250-meter swim, two-kilometer run aquathlon in 12 minutes and 10 seconds.

Finishing next to Da Silva was Hans Nathan Samputon, who was followed by Therrence Paulter Cañas.

Samputon and Cañas actually both ended the race in 12 minutes and 27 seconds. Their ranking was determined through a photo finish.

Copping the girls’ 13-15 age group title was Ormoc City’s Lauren Lee Tan with a time of 13 minutes and 14 seconds. Henia Go wound up second with 13:41 while Limas clocked 14:09.

Christian Villar and Zoe Angel Da Silva topped the boys and girls’ age groups with 12:09 and 11:32, respectively.

Winning the boys’ 9-10 age-group title was Amir Raphayel Lacanaria (10:18) while Ma. Georjina Concepcion Sumaje (12:46) copped the girls’ title.

Johan Benedict Santos (9:10) topped the boy’s 6-8 age group competition with Francesca Bader Mendoza (13:00) emerging as champion in the girls’ competition.

The Cebu Narwhal Swimming Team ruled the 11-15 mixed relay while Salabite Swim Sting snatched the 6-10 mixed relay crown.

A total of 647 young athletes answered the starting gun, marking the biggest turnout in the history of IronKids.(CCM)
