PMI gears up for ‘Kumong Bol-anon 27’
THE highly successful “Kumong Bol-anon” boxing series is ending the year with a bang.
While the protagonists and the date have yet to be announced, the PMI Bohol Boxing Promotions declared that all is set for the 27th installment of the boxing series.
“Kumong Bol-anon XXVII is coming!” the outfit wrote on its Facebook page.
Podot had announced that PMI is looking to end the year with one more card to follow-up the much talked about Kumong Bol-anon 26 last Sept. 12.
The promotional boxing outfit led by Atty. Floriezyl Echavez Podot is actually gearing up for an exciting 2028 as it aspires to host a world title fight featuring its prized stalwart Regie Suganob.
The Kumong Bol-anon 26 was headlied by Suganob, who scored a resounding fifth-round knockout win over South Afica’s Sivenathi Nontshinga at the packed Bohol Wisdom School Gym.
The victory did not only avenge Suganob’s previous loss to Nontshinga but also made the Boholano fighter the mandatory challenger for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) world light flyweight title.
The IBF belt is currently held by Thailand’s Thanongsak Simsri, who scored a successful title-defense against Sultan Kudarat’s Mark Vicelles.(CCM)
