BOXING fans will not have to wait long to see the comebacking Manny Pacquiao fight again.

Shortly after arriving in the country after vacationing in Italy, the Hall of Famer “Pambansang Kamao” announced that he will climb the ring again before the year ends.

“This year…in December,” Pacquiao told sportscaster Dyan Castillejo in an interview that was posted on Viva Promotions.

Pacquiao said the fight will still be held in the United States.

In the same interview, Pacquiao flashed his chiseled physique, lifting his shirt to show his ripped abs.

As to who is going to be his opponent, Pacquiao did not add more details but his camp has previously announced that World Boxing Association (WBA) welterweight champion Rolando Romero and WBA welteweight king Gervonta Davis are being considered.

Sporting a 62W-8L-3D, 39KOs, the 46-year-old Pacquiao mesmerized the boxing world when he flashed his old brilliant form against Mario Barrios in his first pro fight after more than four years last July at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Pacquiao narrowly missed scoring what could have been a rousing win when the fight ended in a majority draw. The former Philippine senator may have fallen short against Barrios but was widely praised for putting up a tough stand against the much younger defending champion Barrios.

Pacquiao’s superb performance didn’t go unnoticed as the World Boxing Council (WBC) awarded him with the prestigious “Aztec Warrior” belt.

Named after the mythological warriors of Mexico, the WBC created the Aztec Warrior belt in January 2025 to honor the legacy of legendary fighters.

“Manny provided a performance for the ages… The draw does not represent the achievement of glory for Manny Pacquiao, boxing, the Philippines, and the world,” the WBC said in a statement.(CCM)
