TWO former NBA players will be seeing action in the 49th PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
The early import signings include Ed Davis and Cheick Diallo, who will be suiting up for the NLEX Road Warriors and Converge FiberXers, respectively.
Davis and Diallo both possess NBA pedigree.
The 6-foot-9 Davis is the 13th overall pick by the Toronto Raptors in 2010. He played for 12 years in the NBA that included stints with the Portland Trail Blazers (3 years), Memphis Grizzlies (2 years), Brooklyn Nets (1 year), LA Lakers (1 year), Cleveland Cavaliers (1 year), Utah Jazz (1 year), and Minnesota Timberwolves (1 year).
Davis last played in the NBA in the 2021-2022 season where he played for 31 games with the Cavaliers. From the NBA, Davis played overseas and had stops in Puerto Rico and China.
On the other hand, the 6-foot-8 Diallo, who was chosen by the LA Clippers as the 33rd overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, played five seasons in the NBA and spent most of his time with the New Orleans Pelicans where he played for three years.
Diallo also saw action for one year with the Phoenix Suns and another one year with the Detroit Pistons.
Diallo played a total of 183 games in the NBA and was good for 5.2 points and 4.1 rebounds a game.(CCM)
