New York BSA dumps foe by 73 points in SLA hoops

NEW York BSA put on an offensive clinic and hacked out a resounding 98-25 triumph over Mighty David-UAE in the 13-Under Division of the ongoing Sinag Liga Asia (SLA) Junior World Showcase on Friday morning, July 3, at the Magnum Sports Complex in Cebu City.

New York BSA sealed the 73-point beatdown behind a balanced attack as it had six players scoring in double figures.

Dericson Pastrano and Chandler Certifico fired 16 points each to lead the lopsided win while Isaac Ulrich LIbor and Nathaniel James Jumao-as contributed 13 markers each.

Francis Jeevan Macalisang and Perseuss Kalyx Berame each chipped in 10 markers for New York BSA, which limited Mighty David-UAE to just three points in the second quarter to build a huge 43-13 lead at the half.

New York BSA staged a cripplied 23-7 attack in the third quarter followed by a 32-5 run in the final period to ice the lopsided victory.

No player scored in double figures for Mighty David-UAE with Psalm Quintano and Emmanuel Laquindanum tallying six and five points respectively.(CCM)
