MINUS two starters, Golden State got a huge lift from Jonathan Kuminga, who turned in a career-game to lead the Warriors to a 99-93 win over the Houston Rockets on Friday (Philippine time), December 6.
Kuminga fired a career-high 33 points, helping the Warriors snap a five-game slide despite not having Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.
Kuminga capped his game-long brilliance with a crucial layup that gave the Warriors a safe 98-93 lead with only 16.9 seconds left.
Andrew Wiggins pitched in 23 points for the Warriors, who improved to 13-8 in the season.
Alperen Sengun had 16 points and eight rebounds, Dillon Brooks had 15 while Amen Thompson and Jalen Green had 14 each in the Rockets’ second straight loss.
Fred VanVleet was the fifth Rocket in double figures. The Rockets strung three straight wins before stumbling in thier last two games that pulled their record down to 15-8.(CCM)
