NBA DAILY RECAP: Towns pumps in crucial baskets to help Knicks beat Raptors
RETURNING from a one-game absence, Karl-Anthony Towns came up big in the endgame to power the New York Knicks to a 113-108 win over the Toronto Raptors on Monday (Philippine time), December 10.
Towns finished 24 points and 15 rebounds, leading the Knicks’ fifth win in six outings to improve to 15-9 in the season.
Towns shattered a 108-all standoff with 36 seconds left then hit a three-pointer with six seconds remaining that sealed the Knicks’ hard-earned win.
Jalen Brunson added 20 points and 11 assists while
Mikal Bridges chipped in 23 points in New York’s fifth straight win over Toronto.
Former Raptror OG Anunoby added 14 points and Josh Hart had 10.
RJ Barrett scored 30 points and Jakob Poeltl had 10 points and 12 rebounds in the Raptors’ 18th loss against seven wins.
Toronto suffered a major blow when Scottie Barnes left midway through the third quarter because of a sprained right ankle. He had piled up 15 points before the injury.(CCM)
