TRAVELERS can now enjoy enhanced free Wi-Fi connectivity at all the four passenger terminals of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
The New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC), the airport’s operator, announced that the upgraded system can provide faster and more reliable service for around 1,000 users per hour.
Passengers can now enjoy average internet speeds ranging from 50 to 60 Mbps, with peak speeds reaching up to 115 Mbps.
The new service extends the duration of free Wi-Fi access from two hours to three, eliminating the need for users to input personal information for connection.
The NNIC has collaborated with PLDT-Smart and Converge to deliver this improved connectivity.
The consortium stated that the enhanced capability of their internet connectivity emphasizes its commitment to meeting the expectations of modern passengers.
The NNIC, which includes San Miguel Holdings Corp., RMM Asian Logistics, Inc., RLW Aviation Development, Inc., and Incheon International Airport Corp., was awarded the PHP 170.6 billion public-private partnership project to operate and rehabilitate NAIA, offering the government a revenue share of 82.16 percent.(CMM)
