The MICHELIN Guide will unveil its inaugural restaurant selection for Manila, surrounding provinces, and Cebu on October 30, 2025. The announcement will take place during the first-ever MICHELIN Guide Ceremony Manila and Environs & Cebu 2026, to be held at the Manila Marriott Hotel at Newport World Resorts.

This marks the Philippines’ debut in the MICHELIN Guide family, recognizing the country’s growing reputation as a culinary destination. The event will highlight the diversity and creativity of Filipino cuisine and pay tribute to the chefs and restaurants shaping the nation’s gastronomic landscape.

The ceremony will reveal the official list of selected restaurants, including those awarded Bib Gourmand distinctions, MICHELIN Stars, and special awards honoring excellence across key areas of the hospitality industry. All establishments are evaluated anonymously by MICHELIN inspectors, based on five criteria: ingredient quality, mastery of technique, harmony of flavors, the chef’s personality reflected in the cuisine, and consistency.

Guests at the invitation-only event will include local and international chefs, restaurateurs, industry leaders, and media representatives. The evening will feature a series of culinary showcases from acclaimed chefs, including Guillaume Galliot of Caprice (Three MICHELIN Stars, Hong Kong & Macau 2025), Darren Teoh of Dewakan (Two MICHELIN Stars, Kuala Lumpur & Penang 2025), Tim Flores and Genie Kwon of Kasama (One MICHELIN Star, Chicago 2025), and Vicky Cheng of VEA (One MICHELIN Star, Hong Kong & Macau 2025), alongside newly recognized Filipino chefs.

To make the event accessible to a global audience, the ceremony will be live-streamed on the MICHELIN Guide Asia YouTube channel. Further details and updates will be available on the MICHELIN Guide website and mobile app. The event marks a significant milestone in positioning the Philippines on the international culinary stage.
