THE Magnolia Hotshots kept the reeling Terrafirma Dyip winless via an easy 124-103 decision in the 49th PBA Governors’ Cup on Sunday night, September 1, at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Jerick Ahanmisi erupted for a career-high 24 points as the Hotshots bounced back from an 82-88 loss to the TNT Tropang Giga to even their record to 2-2 (win-loss) in Group A.

The Dyip, who also play in Group A, remain winless in four games.

Ahanmisi was extra hot from long distance as he sank four four-pointers and two three-pointers. Ahanmisi unloaded 10 of his total output in the second quarter where Magnolia broke the game wide open by surging to a 63-32 lead.

Glen Robinson III added 20 points and 13 rebounds while Zav Lucero, Sangalang, Paul Lee and Joseph Eriobu each scored at least 12 points in a balanced Magnolia attack.

Stanley Pringle topped Terrafirma with 23 points while Christian Standhardinger finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds.
