Jade Bialan shines as UC whips San Carlos

JADE Bialan continued his remarkable run, delivering big numbers to lift the University of Cebu (UC)-Main Baby Webmasters to a 71-62 triumph over the San Carlos School of Cebu Baby Warriors in the secondary division of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) Season 26 on Sunday, Oct. 4, at the Cebu Coliseum.

The 6-foot-8 Bialan was a monster on both ends of the court as piled up 16 points, 20 rebounds, and a staggering 10 blocks. The towering ceter from Davao de Oro also added two steals and an assist to carry the Baby Webmasters to their fifth win in six games.

It wasn’t all-Bialan for UC as equally impressive was Mark Jovil Datoon, who turned in his own superb all-around performance with 21 points, 10 rebounds, seven steals, two assists, and one block.

Jay Xander Bulagsak was also productive for UC after finishing with 21 points, 11 rebounds, three steals, and two assists.

UC had a slow start that allowed the Baby Warriors to take a 23-12 lead after the first period. San Carlos was still ahead at the half, 41-37, before UC staged a decisive 23-14 run in the penultimate quarter.

Jameson Jareth Rondina collected 20 points and Ahron Andrei Casul scored 14 but the Baby Warriors suffered a fourth defeat to drop to 2-4 (win-loss).(CCM)
