THE Barangay Ginebra Kings avoided a third-straight loss and in the process ended the NLEX Road Warriors’ mini run.

The Kings snapped a two-game slide by dominating the Road Warriors, 104-74, on Sunday night, Nov. 2, in the 50th PBA Philippine Cup at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.

Ginebra took control of the All Saints’ Day showdown by racing to a quick 11-0 run. The Kings were really never challenged from that point on en route to picking up just their second win in five games.

NLEX’s streak of three straight wins ended, failing to secure a victory that could have given them the solo lead in the team standings.

The Road Warriors dropped to 4-2 (win-loss). Crowding the No. 1 spot are the Magnolia Hotshots, TNT Tropang Giga, and Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, who all sport 4-1 slates.

Japeht Aguilar dominated for Ginebra as he went 11-of-16 from the fieled to finish with 25 points. Stephen Holt added 20 markers while Scottie Thompson had 12.

NLEX had three players scoring figures but its top gun Robert Bolick managed just a measly four points.
