JUSTIN Brownlee starred anew and Gilas Pilipinas posted another dominant win against Guam, 95-71, to sweep their two-game window in the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers on Monday night, Dec. 1, at the Blue Eagle Gym.

Brownlee finished with 20 points anchored on a perfect 8-for-8 trip from the foul line. The naturalized Filipino player also had five rebounds, and seven assists as the Nationals duplicated their 87-46 win in Guam last Friday.

Brownlee had a game-high 22 points, two rebounds, and two assists in the two teamsโ€™ first meeting.

Improving to 2-0 (win-loss) to earn a share of the lead with Australia in Group A, Gilas also got a solid performance from Dwight Ramos, who finished with 19 points, seven rebounds

Kevin Quiambao added 12 points and Chris Newsome had 10 in a balanced attack by Gilas, which seized control after jumping off to a 17-3 start.

Up next for Gilas is another pair of matches with New Zealand in February. The Filipinos will cap their campaign in the qualifiers with tough assignments against Australia in March.
