Facing ‘fight of my life’, Kris Aquino returns home

ACTRESS-host Kris Aquino, known as the “Queen of All Media”, is now finally home.

In her X (formerly Twitter) account, she shared photos of her trip back to the Philippines. She also shared another post with an emoji of an airplane, the US and the Philippine flags on Instagram.

Aquino shared that she came home as she needs to start her second immunosuppressant infusions or chemotherapy in 2-3 weeks.

It can be recalled that the 53-year-old Aquino flew to the US for treatment of her autoimmune conditions.

"Emotionally, I need the encouragement and unwavering faith my sisters & cousins, closest friends, and trusted team of doctors can provide. Sadly, what was the battle to improve my mental health is now the struggle to protect my vital organs. This is now the fight of my life," she wrote on IG.

On September 12, Aquino shared on X that she arrived in the US with three diagnosed autoimmune conditions and the fourth one was confirmed in late June of 2022.

The six autoimmune conditions include Autoimmune Thyroiditis, Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria, Churg Strauss/EGPA- a rare, complicated form of vasculitis, Systemic Sclerosis, SLE/Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis.

“We are still waiting for the results of 2 more autoimmune conditions,” Aquino said.

Aquino went on to thank all the people who prayed for her.
