Couple yields P14-million ‘shabu’

FROM sharing sweet moments to spending time in jail.

A couple was arrested after they yielded a huge amount of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Cebu City on Friday night, March 27.

Sandra Lim Reyes, 54, and Renil Conejos Aballe, 39, were caught possessing 2,115 grams of shabu worth P14.3 million, police said.

Operatives of the Guadalupe Police Station cornered the couple past 8 p.m. in Barangay Kalunasan.

Police alleged that the suspects are considered as high-value individuals.

Police added that the couple was involved in selling illegal drugs in Kalunasan and neighboring barangays.

Police added that close monitoring showed that illegal drugs would be shipped to Reyes while Aballe was tasked to distribute the contraband to their customers.

Police said the two suspects will be charged for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.(CDB)
