Computer shop attendant nabbed for 'shabu'
A COMPUTER shop attendant was arrested after he was caught allegedly selling shabu in Barangay San Nicolas, Cebu City.
The 36-year-old suspect, a certain Nelson, was cornered in a buy-bust operation conducted by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas (PDEA-7) and the police past 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3.
PDEA-7 Director Joel Plaza said the suspect is a target-listed drug personality.
Seized from the suspect was 50 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P340,000.
Leia Alcantara, information officer of PDEA-7, said the suspect was placed under close monitoring for a month after reports surfaced that he was allegedly involved in selling illegal drugs.
Alcantara said the suspect will be charged for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.(CDB)
