CIT-U dumps listless Paref-Springdale
THE Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) Baby Wildcats secured their second win at the expense of the sputtering Paref-Springdale Titans, 88-61, in the CESAFI Season 26 secondary basketball tournament on Thursday night, September 17, at the Cebu Coliseum.
Geoffe Vhon Partosa waxed hot from the field, powering CIT-Uās dominant win that hiked their record to 2-1 (win-loss).
Partosa erupted for 29 points on a hot 6-of-8 from three-point range and 5-of-7 from two-point zone.
Paref-Springdale led early, 19-18, but CIT-U turned what was once a close game into a rout and led by as many as 32 points.
CIT-U built a 43-30 halftime lead then outscored the Titans in the third quarter, 23-13, resulting in a huge 63-41 advantage with only one quarter left to play.
The Titans failed to recover and went on to suffer a third loss in as many games.
Vincent Zamora added 13 points and nine rebounds and Skeril Miez Basilisco had 12 markers for CIT-U.
Riche Sarmiento racked up a game-high 30 points in a losing cause.(CCM)
