Celebrity couple AJ, Aljur dismiss love child rumors

AJ RAVAL and Aljur Abrenica have finally addressed the rumors that have been circulating for the past two years.

In recent interviews with veteran broadcaster Julius Babao, which aired on the Unplugged YouTube channel on August 27, the celebrity couple flatly denied they had a child together.

“First of all, hindi po ako taun-taon buntis. Parang yearly na lang po akong buntis,” Raval said.

The former Vivamax star explained that her temporary absence from the entertainment industry was not because she became pregnant but due to her completion of studies through the Alternative Learning System (ALS).

She expressed her focus on positive aspects of her life, rather than on the rumors about her.

“Hindi ko siya masyadong binigyan ng focus kasi nu’ng nawala ako, ang saya-saya ko," she said.

She reflected on her accomplishments, including graduating from high school through ALS and contributing to the program.

“Imagine, kahit paano, naka-graduate ako, nag-ALS ako, natulungan ko 'yung mga tao sa programa na 'yun. May mga na-inspire ako, bakit ako magpo-pokus sa ganoong bagay, 'di ba?" she said.

Raval also noted her experience with such rumors, saying, “Actually, hindi ko na siya napansin masyado. Parang nasanay na ako sa mga isyu-isyu, saka yearly ako buntis, everyday (may tsismis).”

Abrenica also addressed the false reports in his own interview with Babao. When asked if he and AJ had a child, he replied: “Wala po.”

He further discussed his reaction to the rumors, saying,

“‘Yung nangyari nga sa amin noon, parang lumipas muna 'yung isang taon bago ko nalaman na, Ah, may isyu pala."(MyTVCebu)
