CEBUANO boxer Ryan James “The Untouchable” Racaza was dealt with his first-ever career loss when he bowed to hometown bet Lucas “Prince” Bahdi in their action-packed, 10-round duel over the weekend at the Toronto Casino Resort in Canada.
In dealing Racaza his first defeat, Bahdi preserved his unblemished record, coming away with a unanimous decision victory after earning the nod of the three judges.
Scores were 99-90, 96-93, and 97-92.
The two fighters lived up to their lofty billings, figuring in a torrid exchange in the early goings.
The pivotal moment came in the seventh round when Bahdi scored a knockdown via a well-timed left hook.
Though Racaza didn’t fall, the blow clearly wobbled him that prompted the referee to give him a mandatory 10-count.
Desperate to turn things around, Racaza became more aggressive in the final three rounds but Bahdi did just enough to secure the victory.
Bahdi pocketed his 19th win in as many fights, a stellar run laced with 15 knockout wins. Racaza dropped to 15W-1L, 11KOs.(CCM)
