ALL-you-can-eat doesn’t mean all-you-can-pack.
A Korean buffet restaurant in Baguio City issued this reminder fter catching a customer sneaking raw meat into a plastic bag during a meal.
K Flavors Buffet, known for its unlimited samgyeopsal offerings, revealed in a Facebook post that a customer was recently discovered placing raw meat into a plastic bag during their visit.
“We recently caught a customer secretly bagging raw meat inside our restaurant,” the post read. “What makes it even sadder is that they dined with their kids.”
According to the restaurant, a staff member noticed the act and found 722 grams of meat being packed away. The incident was described as deliberate, since the diner had brought their own plastic bag.
Management also noted that the same customer had raised suspicion on earlier visits. Staff observed that their table would order unusually large amounts of meat, which would then “suddenly disappear shortly after.”
K Flavors Buffet stressed that this was not the first case of diners attempting to take food home. The restaurant urged customers to be considerate, emphasizing that buffet service is meant for dining within the premises only.
“To the public, we appeal for your understanding and cooperation. As much as we, restaurant owners, strive to serve you responsibly, we also hope for responsible behavior in return,” the post said.
The restaurant emphasized that running a food business is never easy, pointing out that daily operations require hard work to stay afloat, sustain jobs, and provide good food at fair prices. It added that incidents like this serve as a reminder for both customers and business owners to practice honesty and responsibility.(MyTVCebu)
