Boysen, SR&T grab 1-0 lead in CABC 8th Corporate Cup semis

BOYSEN Paints and SR&T Industrial Supply emerged victorious at the start of the best-of-three semifinal round of Cebu Architects Basketball Club (CABC) 8th Corporate Cup on Sunday, Aug. 2, at the Game Changer Sports Complex in Mandaue City.

Boysen Paints bucked a short-handed lineuo to escape Landlite, 75-72, with Pido Sanchez and Lemuel Aspacio waxing hot from the field.

Sanchez scattered 29 while Aspacio unloaded 24 markers as Boysen Paints moved a win away from reaching the championship round.

hazriel Jumola led Landlite with 19 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals, while Fritz Devenadera dropped 11 points and 16 rebounds in the loss.

On the other hand, SR&T Industrial Supply dumped Corr Chem, 88-73, to also inch closer to the title round.

Chester Hinagdanan powered SR&T with 22 points, five rebounds and a steal. Dexsel Caadan tossed in 13 points and the same number of rebounds while also adding three blocks, three steals, and two assists. Kurt Damandaman also scored in twin digits for SR&T with 13 points.

Corr Chem was led by Rei Aureo, who scored 19 points. Jyrell Allanic pitched in 13 points while Miguel Cenabre and Venz Arquillano each had 10 points.(CCM)
