CARLO Bacaro returned to his winning ways in style after he scored a sensational second-round knockout win over Thailand’s Channarong Injampa in the main event of "Fist of Fury XII:Cebu Clash 2026" Sunday, July 26, at Robinsons Galleria Cebu.

Bacaro delivered an energy-zapping left hook to the head that nearly threw Injampa out of the ring. The Thailander could recover from the blow, leading to the abrupt conclusion of the fight at the 2:16 mark of the second round.

The impressive win netted Bacarro the World Boxing Foundation (WBF) Silver welterweight title as he bounced back from a ninth-round KO loss to Japanese Ryota Toyoshima three months ago.

The 26-year-old Bacaro improved to 15W-2L. It was his ninth KO victory. Injampa dropped to 21W-25L.

In the co-featured fight of the card mounted by Cebuano sportsman Lorenzo "Chao" Sy in collaboration with Verano Promotions and Ringside Cebu, Injampa’s compatriot Chan Sala stopped erstwhile undefeated Saagar Pradhan of Hong Kong via a fifth-round stoppage.

Sala hiked his record to 14W-12L with nine knockout wins while Pradhan suffered his first loss after starting his pro career with eight straight wins.

In the undercard fights, Junebirth Bantay of Chao Sy Stable stopped Joseph Lanat in just three rounds while 2026 Palarong Pambansa gold medalist Jaervi Hernani marked his pro debut with a unanimous decision win over Norman Russiana.

Wengel Mendoza defeated Jed Malinao via UD, Robert Jon Seares prevailed over Junriel Dominic Navares by majority decision, and Ken Danila needed just two rounds to beat Jeffrey Stella.(CCM)
