IT’S going to be a fistic weekend in Mandaue City as the ‘Bakbakan 4’ boxing extravaganza of the Big Yellow Boxing Promotions unfurls on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Conequip Philippines Inc. building.
The card will be headlined by Mark Anthony Sarino and Brian Bustrillo, who will clash in an eight-round battle for the Visayas Professional Boxing Association (VisProBa) title.
The two fighters both came in at 115 pounds during Friday’s weigh-in.
The card was originally scheduled last Nov. 5 in Sabang, Danao City but it was moved to a later date and transferred to another venue due to the effects of Typhoon Tino.
The two protagonists are off to solid pro career starts.
The 22-year-old Sarino holds a 5W-1L, 3KOs record and has won his last three fights.
Bustillo is off to a 4-1 start with three knockout victories.
Spicing up the card is the six-round duel between
Taiwanese contender Ming Hung Lee (10-1, 7 KOs) and Jason Tinampay (14-22-2, 11 KOs).
The event will also have hometown bet Nino Jay Malbago (2-0) going up against Simeon Gabo and Ralph Vincent Gernale taking on Jethro Ilusorio.
The rest of the card will feature Jake Malinao versus Carlos Condes, and Aldren Aton against Marvin Zamora.(CCM)
